As of April 1, 2025, Namibia has implemented new visa requirements for citizens of 33 countries. Travellers from these nations must obtain a visa prior to or upon arrival in Namibia.

Visa Application Options:

Online Application: Travellers can apply for a visa online through Namibia's electronic visa system (e-Visa). This option is recommended to expedite the entry process and reduce waiting times at entry points.

Embassy Application: Visas can also be obtained in advance by applying at Namibian embassies or diplomatic missions in your home country.

Visa on Arrival: Eligible travellers may obtain a visa upon arrival at designated entry points in Namibia.

Applicants must provide:

A valid passport

A motivation letter

Proof of sufficient funds (e.g., bank statement)

Confirmation of accommodation

Travel itinerary within Namibia

Valid medical insurance

Recommendations for Travellers:

Advance Application: Applying online or at an embassy before traveling is advisable to avoid potential delays at entry points.

Documentation: Ensure you have all necessary documents, including a valid passport, proof of accommodation, sufficient funds, and return tickets.

These new visa requirements are part of Namibia's efforts to implement reciprocal visa policies and enhance the management of international travel into the country.
